Andrew Bridgen MP visits Sawley Marina

The Member of Parliament for North West Leicestershire, Andrew Bridgen was invited to visit Sawley Marina in his constituency last week. The MP spent the morning with the Marina Manager Julie Cutts and the Customer Services Manager Sarah Broker learning about the Marina and speaking to residents.

Sawley Marina is located on a navigational cut of the River Trent near Long Eaton, Nottingham, East Midlands and is the largest Inland Marina in the United Kingdom with a water space of 23 acres. Planning approved residential moorings, most with electricity and water, are provided for 120 boats. The River Soar, River Derwent, and Derby are all nearby.

Andrew Bridgen MP states:

“I am delighted to have visited the Marina again and have a grand tour of its leisure and residential mooring areas. And meet with staff, residents and business owners on site and learn more about the community “small village” offering it hosts on site.”

“The Marina is a thriving area in my constituency and as the biggest inland marina it is great to foresee where their future and plans lie.”
